About the Position
The Miriam Hospital, part of Brown University Health, is seeking a skilled CT Scan Technologist to join our team. Under the general supervision of the CT Manager, Lead CT Technologists, and the Imaging Coordinator, you will operate CT scanners and related equipment to produce high-quality radiographs of designated anatomical areas. You will play a key role in delivering exceptional patient care by performing complex imaging procedures, training students and staff, and ensuring quality results in a busy radiology department.
Key responsibilities include:
- Performing complex CT procedures to assist physicians in diagnosing patients.
- Ensuring high-quality results and proper documentation.
- Training fellow students and staff on imaging procedures and techniques.
- Utilizing advanced CT technology, including GE and Siemens scanners, and the GE Revolution Ascend Ulrich CT Motion Injector.
- Working in a team environment, with support staff to assist with patient transport and ancillary duties.

Requirements
- RI state Radiology license and CT supplemental license from the Department of Health.
- Registered and in good standing with the American Registry of Radiological Technology (ARRT).
- Current CPR certification (AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers).
- Two years of formal training in an approved School of Radiologic Technology, plus registration through ARRT.
- Six months of experience as a Radiologic Technologist in a hospital radiology department, plus six months of specialized training in CT Scanner operation.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
This position involves working in a CT Scan area or satellite locations with minimal discomfort from noise, dust, or temperature. The role requires long periods of standing, walking, pushing portable equipment, and lifting/positioning patients. Adherence to safety procedures ensures minimal radiation exposure.
