📸 What You'll Do
- Perform a variety of technical radiographic procedures under the direction of the Manager of Medical Imaging.
- Apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis.
- Ensure patient safety and comfort during radiologic examinations.
- Schedule and manage patient flow efficiently for radiologic examinations.
- Process radiographic images using CR Readers and scan them to the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS).
- Assist physicians in the administration of opaque contrast media.
- Maintain cleanliness, orderliness, and adequate supplies in assigned areas.
- Participate in training and instruction of radiologic technology for staff and students.
- Adhere to hospital and department safety regulations, environmental, and infection control policies.
- Rotate within the department and by shift as required, including weekends and holidays.
Qualifications
- Completion of formal training in an AMA-approved accredited school of radiologic technology or equivalent.
- Current license to work in the State of Rhode Island.
- Current ARRT certification.
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients, visitors, physicians, and staff.
- Ability to meet job accountabilities: critical thinking, interpersonal skills, team membership, customer focus, initiative, and reliability.
- Experience in a healthcare environment such as acute care hospitals or physicians' offices.
- Ability to lift and position patients and supplies up to 50 pounds.
