📸 What You'll Do
- Operate MRI units and related equipment to produce high-quality images of designated anatomical areas.
- Ensure patient safety and comfort, adhering to MRI magnetic field safety guidelines.
- Prepare and test MRI equipment for daily operations, troubleshooting as necessary.
- Screen patients and visitors for MRI safety, obtaining necessary approvals.
- Assess patient conditions to determine their ability to undergo MRI procedures.
- Select and manipulate technical factors to achieve optimal imaging results.
- Perform eGFR calculations and manage contrast administration as needed.
- Assist radiologists in implementing new imaging protocols and techniques.
- Participate in the clinical instruction and supervision of radiology students and new staff.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment, adhering to all safety and ethical standards.
Qualifications
- Registered with the American Registry of Radiological Technology (ARRT) or the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT).
- MRI certification through ARRT (new graduates may obtain within 90 days of hire).
- Current BLS Certification from AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers.
- Thorough knowledge of MRI technology, cross-sectional anatomy, and advanced MRI applications.
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Six months of recent experience as an MRI Technologist or completion of an accredited MRI program with a minimum of 1200 clinical hours.
