📸 What You'll Do
- Perform complex procedures in CT in a busy Radiology Department.
- Assure quality results.
- Train fellow students and staff in imaging procedures and techniques.
- Work with state-of-the-art technology including GE Revolution Ascend and Ulrich CT Motion Injector.
- Engage in a teaching environment with training available for all types of cardiac imaging.
- Collaborate in a team environment with support staff assisting in patient transport and ancillary duties.
- Operate a CT scanner and related equipment to produce radiographs of designated anatomical areas.
- Foster patient and family-centered care in accordance with Brown University Health's mission and values.
Qualifications
- Must hold a RI state Radiology license and CT supplemental license from the DOH.
- Registered and in good standing with the American Registry of Radiological Technology (ARRT).
- Current CPR certification from AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers.
- Two years of formal training in an approved School of Radiologic Technology required, plus registration through the American Registry for Radiologic Technologists.
- Six months of experience as a Radiologic Technologist in a hospital radiology department, plus six months of specialized training in the operation of the CT Scanner.
- Ability to work in the CT Scan area or satellite areas with minimal discomfort due to noise, dust, or temperature.
- Capability to stand for long periods, walk, push portable equipment, and lift and position patients.
