📸 What You'll Do
- Perform CT Scan procedures in a satellite unit or a unit requiring more difficult techniques.
- Instruct Radiology students and/or employees in clinical procedures.
- Perform clerical and administrative functions for efficient unit operation and patient records.
- Utilize experienced-based knowledge to perform duties of a CT Scan Technologist in routine and complex procedures.
- Provide clinical experience and guidance to Radiology Technology students.
- Provide on-the-job instruction to employees in clinical procedures.
- Perform clerical tasks such as inventory, ordering supplies, and compiling statistics.
- Understand and practice ALARA principles of Radiation Protection.
- Direct the work of others, providing input into performance appraisals and other personnel actions.
- Maintain CT Scan department workflow and staff efficiently for maximum throughput.
Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited program in Computed Tomography.
- Registered and in good standing with the American Registry of Radiological Technology (ARRT).
- Current CPR certification from AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers.
- RI state radiation license and CT supplemental license from the DOH.
- Ability to operate all types of x-ray CT Scan and related equipment.
- Interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and instruct students and employees.
- Analytical skills to compile and interpret routine data and organize work.
- One year experience as a Radiologic Technologist in a hospital radiology department plus one year specialized training in CT Scanner operation.
