📸 What You'll Do
- Function as a lead or resource person for the department, assigning and reviewing work.
- Assist in the orientation and training of new employees.
- Coordinate the flow of work through an assigned area of responsibility.
- Provide input into the development of work procedures and maintain daily time schedules.
- Monitor and evaluate the work processed by department employees to ensure accuracy.
- Order and inventory expendable office supplies for the unit/department.
- Assist subordinate employees with complex and/or sensitive work-related matters.
- Explain and instruct new procedures, report formats, and codes.
- Perform a variety of clerical duties such as researching files and compiling reports.
- Operate standard and/or automated office equipment as needed.
Qualifications
- A level of knowledge generally obtained through high school or its equivalent.
- Ability to operate standard and automated office equipment, including an on-line computer terminal.
- Good math skills for performing statistical analysis and verifying report totals.
- Administrative ability to function as a lead or resource person and coordinate activities.
- One to three years of progressively responsible experience in a similar role.
- Good working conditions with minimal discomfort due to noise, heat, and dust.
- Supervisory responsibility as a lead or resource person for clerical employees.
