📸 What You'll Do

  • Function as a lead or resource person for the department, assigning and reviewing work.
  • Assist in the orientation and training of new employees.
  • Coordinate the flow of work through an assigned area of responsibility.
  • Provide input into the development of work procedures and maintain daily time schedules.
  • Monitor and evaluate the work processed by department employees to ensure accuracy.
  • Order and inventory expendable office supplies for the unit/department.
  • Assist subordinate employees with complex and/or sensitive work-related matters.
  • Explain and instruct new procedures, report formats, and codes.
  • Perform a variety of clerical duties such as researching files and compiling reports.
  • Operate standard and/or automated office equipment as needed.

Qualifications

  • A level of knowledge generally obtained through high school or its equivalent.
  • Ability to operate standard and automated office equipment, including an on-line computer terminal.
  • Good math skills for performing statistical analysis and verifying report totals.
  • Administrative ability to function as a lead or resource person and coordinate activities.
  • One to three years of progressively responsible experience in a similar role.
  • Good working conditions with minimal discomfort due to noise, heat, and dust.
  • Supervisory responsibility as a lead or resource person for clerical employees.
