📸 What You'll Do
- Set up cleaning room and perform cleaning activities using aseptic techniques.
- Clean and disinfect endoscopes and accessories according to established procedures.
- Perform basic maintenance and troubleshoot minor equipment issues.
- Test disinfecting solutions daily and adjust as necessary.
- Package and label equipment for sterilization procedures.
- Maintain appropriate supply levels and restock materials as needed.
- Pick up and deliver materials, including x-ray cassettes and supplies, to support department activities.
- Maintain cleanliness of work area and assist in room setup and closure.
- Provide assistance to patients, such as helping with dressing and providing refreshments.
- Prepare and maintain records related to equipment and solution testing.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Knowledge of aseptic techniques for cleaning and disinfecting equipment.
- Clerical and numerical ability for inventory and record maintenance.
- Interpersonal skills for effective patient interaction.
- Up to one month of on-the-job training for area-specific procedures.
- Previous knowledge of disinfecting techniques preferred.
- Ability to frequently walk/stand and adhere to safety policies in a patient care environment.
