📸 What You'll Do
- Perform complex technical procedures using medical diagnostic ultrasound equipment.
- Provide routine ultrasound and vascular services to patients of all ages.
- Demonstrate understanding of hospital's mission, vision, and values.
- Comply with department and hospital policies and procedures.
- Maintain current CPR certification and practice aseptic techniques.
- Conduct visual checks of equipment prior to each use to ensure safe condition.
- Perform routine abdominal, gallbladder, renal, aorta, and spleen exams.
- Provide technical assistance to surgeons/radiologists for various procedures.
- Operate ultrasound equipment with Doppler and vascular capabilities.
- Provide radiologists with preliminary interpretation and review each case.
Qualifications
- High school graduation or equivalent and completion of an allied health training program.
- Two years of ultrasound experience in a clinical setting preferred.
- ARDMS registration required for experienced Sonographers; new graduates must obtain ARDMS registration within 6 months of hire.
- Current CPR certification.
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for 1-3 hours and lift 50 lbs with good body mechanics.
- Must have accurate vision at 20/20 and be able to hear a whisper at 20 feet.
